The Senior Principal Systems Engineer (Concepts & Architectures) is the essential link between our Customers and engineering teams to define concept of operations, architectures, and requirements for our systems.
What youâll experience:
Lead assessment of Customer âhardâ problems, & define missions & conceptual systems
Develop advanced system concepts, architectures including functional decomposition
Develop analytic models, simulations & perform analysis of complex Signal Intelligence Systems
Develop top-level system Concepts-of-Operation descriptions
Propose & lead (Principal Investigator) Independent Research & Development projects
Lead Customer funded technology-mission studies
Provide subject matter expertise and independent review during program execution
Direct technical initiatives for future business through concept paper development & RFI/RFP evaluation

What you bring to the table:
A Bachelorâs degree in systems engineering, a related specialized area or field and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience or a Masters degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; Agile experience preferred
Substantial use, understanding and tailoring of systems engineering concepts, principles and theories
Substantial proficiency with requirements management & system modeling tools
Ability to recognize various architectural patterns, apply them appropriately, understand strengths/weaknesses within those architectures and develop architectural variations as necessary
Requirements
Requires a Bachelorâs degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 10+ years of job-related experience, or a Masters degree plus 8 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Candidates must be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
