Job Description
- Communicates with drivers via radio and accommodates cabs and shuttles accordingly.
- Create a welcoming environment for airport guests and facilitate their arrival or departure to and from the taxi stand.
- This includes greeting guests upon arrival, procuring taxicabs, opening doors, and carrying their small personal bags upon request larger items should be handled by Taxi drivers only.
- Starters may also be responsible for keeping their work area tidy by sweeping and removing refuse.
- Beyond their basic duties, starters are expected to assist guests by giving directions and providing important information about the airport taxi stand and general services. Starters also need to keep an eye out for suspicious activity.
