Position Title: Head of Student Fundraising
Designation: Department second-in-command
Location: Mumbai. Travel, as circumstances warrant
Reporting Manager: COO, CEO & Co-Founder(s)

Purpose of the role
To provide leadership to the existing Fundraising team to evolve our crowd funding platform into a world class experience for our fundraisers and a tool for providing intelligent insights for our internal team.
Roles & Responsibilities
Sales and Relationship Management:
Lead and manage strategic partnerships with various organizations to organize student fundraising campaigns and events.
Handle external and internal communications and facilitate legal agreements with partners as needed.
Events : Organize events/conferences/seminars/concerts/charity fundraising events etc. to promote fundraising for partners.
Approach school directors and educational boards and religious bodies and submit proposals to them to get their permission to conduct these sensitization programmes in schools that fall under their jurisdiction.
Fundraising:
Responsibility for developing a national student fundraising programme with a focus on covering a maximum number of privileged schools and colleges.
Help partners identify influential campaign creators or to create campaigns themselves
Work closely with the digital marketing and content team to make sure each fundraising campaign is a big success!
Feedback Reports:
Ensuring that all donors are sent feedback reports on a timely basis and that partners provide high quality feedback reports.
Provide the management with daily, monthly and yearly plans.
Campaigns: Develop a pipeline of campaigns that have large scale impact and work with partners to execute those.
Due Diligence: Conduct thorough due diligence on partners to make sure they are compliant with existing laws and have strong track record
Excellent people skills - comfort in speaking to people of all backgrounds, ability to speak logically, be direct and inspire
Ensure achievements of the laid work plans and yearly targets are both qualitative and quantitative.
Creative self-starter who is comfortable with both taking initiative and working in teams.
Drive efforts for continuous process improvement
Ensure timely & accurate reporting by all team members
Ensure compliance with organization policies by all team members
Indicative KRA’s
Deep understanding of Indian donor mindset - individual, HNWI, or corporate.
Act as a consultant to players in both corporate and social sectors & ability to pitch products that fit their growth plan.
Client servicing skills and excellence in using PowerPoint.
Team performance on targets
Team management on other attributes: complaints, attrition, etc.
Cost efficiencies achieved
Pace of development assistance for penetrating new markets, driving new business models, building new revenue streams
Timely & accurate reporting
Deliver to COO, CEO & Co-Founders expectations
Key interactions
Internal: ImpactGuru Co-Founders & their office, product development team members, operations, business development, finance, HR, legal, et al.
External: Hospitals & other medical providers (Executive Board, C-level executives & other representatives), Doctors, Campaigners & Donors (as & when circumstances warrant), ImpactGuru investors, Auditors
Professional Experiences
Minimum 5 year of prior sales /business development/ Fundraising experience interacting with hospitals, organisations & universities.
Basic event planning experience for the social sector.
Strong network of existing relationships with hospitals, organisations & universities.
Strong network of existing nonprofit donors (a huge plus)
Sincere passion to change the world.
Prior experience in a start-up environment is definite plus
Directly reporting to CEO, Co-Founders for at least 2 years (mandatory)
Experience of directly engaging with C-level executives of clients
Qualifications
MBA or Bachelors degree from a reputed college (MBA / Social Sector related degree a plus) or equivalent practical experience. (mandatory)
