The specific course under consideration is:

NR702: DNP Project & Practicum I

The focus of this course is on broad issues for DNPprepared nurses practicing across healthcare systems to advance nursing practice. Students identify a nursing practice problem and link the problem and plan for evidencebased practice change using advanced nursing judgment in the practicum setting.

Responsibilities

• Develops and provides students with an approved Adtalem Global Education syllabus that follows a template established by the local campus and which includes the terminal course objectives.
• Organizes prepares and regularly revises and update all course materials.
• Uses appropriate technological options for online technologies and courserelated software including Websites email and online discussions for preparing the course and making it accessible to students.
• Models effective oral and written communications that engage the students provide clarity and improve student learning.
• Sets clear expectations for the course by publishing course terminal objectives assignment/examinations dates and weight the distribution of various evaluation categories.
• Ensures that the content and level of material included on exams correspond to the course terminal objectives.
• Demonstrates consistency and fairness in the preparation and grading of exams and provide timely feedback to students.
• Completes other duties as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Complies with all policies and standards

Qualifications :

• MSN and DNP or PHD in Nursing degree is required (doctorate must be conferred)
• Active unencumbered compact nursing license preferred
• 2 years in an academic DNP project faculty advisor required
• Online teaching experience required
• lllinois RN License will be required to teach all courses.
• Must have required subject matter expertise and outstanding written communication skills and familiar with APA.
• Must have excellent motivational and instructional skills in a diverse and nontraditional environment.
• Solid written skills and ability to communicate clearly and effectively in an online environment a must.
• Additional requirements driven by state licensing or accreditation considerations may apply. 

Additional Information :

Chamberlain Visiting Professor Position Online:
In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country the expected compensation rate for this position is between $715/Earned Credit Hour to $1950/Earned Credit Hour depending on the candidates education and experience.

Actual pay may be adjusted based on jobrelated factors permitted by law such as type of course taught; experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
