Job Description

We are seeking primarily Industry Professionals to share their knowledge and experience with undergraduate and graduate students in a variety of fields.   

Course of instruction: 

Principles of Ethics (ETHC445)  Through readings discussions and case studies of contemporary issues this course helps students acquire the ethical tools to determine
appropriate courses of action. Ethical principles are applied to choices and decisions that arise in professional and personal life and that reflect membership in a democratic society.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and provides students with an approved Chamberlain University syllabus that follows a template and includes the terminal course objectives.
  • Organizes prepares and regularly revises and update all course materials.
  • Uses appropriate technological options for online technologies and courserelated software including Websites email and online discussions for preparing the course and making it accessible to students.
  • Models effective oral and written communications that engage the students provide clarity and improve student learning.
  • Sets clear expectations for the course by publishing course terminal objectives assignment/examinations dates and weight the distribution of various evaluation categories.
  • Ensures that the content and level of material included on exams correspond to the course terminal objectives.
  • Demonstrates consistency and fairness in the preparation and grading of exams and provide timely feedback to students.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards

Qualifications :

  • Masters Degree (with 18 graduate hours in the subject being taught for undergraduate teaching). Required
  • Relevant graduate course work in Ethics (medical or legal) Philosophy Law and/or Religious Studies
  • Faculty must have requisite subject matter expertise and outstanding communication skills.
  • Faculty must also have excellent motivational and instructional skills in a diverse and nontraditional environment.
  • Must be able to work in a collegial manner and facilitate the efforts of diverse groups.
  • Additional requirements driven by state licensing or accreditation considerations may apply. Required


Additional Information :

Chamberlain Visiting Professor Position Online:
In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country the expected compensation rate for this position is between $715/Earned Credit Hour to $1950/Earned Credit Hour depending on the candidates education and experience.

Actual pay may be adjusted based on jobrelated factors permitted by law such as type of course taught; experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
