Job Description
Join Olssons Transmission and Distribution (Power Delivery) team and help shape the future of energy systems. As a Design Technician youll play a key role in designing highpowered substations using MicroStation Revit and AutoCAD software contributing to the infrastructure that powers our communities. From concept to completion youll collaborate with a talented team of engineers to create impactful sustainable solutions that meet future energy demands. Responsibilities:
- Perform intermediate to advancedlevel substation design while working under minimal direction and supervision.
- Collaborate with engineers and technical leadership to develop and execute design approaches that meet project specifications and client requirements.
- Use MicroStation Revit or AutoCAD software to create accurate and detailed design drawings for utility transmission and substation projects.
- Run design calculations update drawings determine material needs and review project specifications.
- Provide mentorship and training to less experienced technicians fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Attend client meetings to discuss project needs and design solutions.

You bring to the team:
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to contribute and work well on a team
- Associate degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum of six years of experience with MicroStation or similar software.
- Proven ability to work independently on nonroutine drafting and design tasks.
- Experience working in substation or utility transmission projects is preferred.
