Job Description

This is a 3rd shift position with start time of 10PM eastern time and a end time of 7 AM eastern time

Primarily responsible for assistance in daily operations and maintenance of manufacturing processes for manufacturing of night vision power supplies.  Including but not limited to:  optimization of manufacturing processes implementation of cost reduction opportunities (yield and productivity improvements waste elimination) review/disposition of circuit board assemblies and assemble power supplies and training production employees to improve work processes and product quality work to minimized or eliminate safety quality delivery inventory and production issues.

A successful candidate will have proficiency in the use of hand and machine tools precision gauges test instruments and process equipment. Also have an understanding and skills in effectively applying SixSigma tools to benefit the organization and customers.  Additionally the candidate will be versed in Lean tools and their application to reduce waste.  This is a handson engineering technician position. The individual can expect to spend >70 of their time engaging directly with the factory teams on the shop floor to be most effective.  Candidate will perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications :

  • Associate degree in an Engineering field (Mechanical Electrical Mechatronics etc. or related work experience
  • 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment   
  • Strong analytical abilities
  • Troubleshooting and or problem diagnosis skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • PC proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook is required
  • Proficiency working with a team
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Experience training others
  • Ability to obtain Security Clearance
  • Must be able to comply with OSHA EPA Fire Regulations Company Policies and Procedures 
  • Available/ willing to work 3rd shift; 9/80 work schedule.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with review/inspection of circuit boards
  • Soldering experience
  • Experience writing MS Access queries
  • Proficiency with statistical analysis software:  Mintab JMP SAS 
  • Six Sigma certification
  • Ability to support the organizational culture and build morale
