Job Description
- Collect data on throughput and/or waste reduction.
- Identify process deficiencies and develop solutions to improve those deficiencies.
- Deliver documentation offering a critical analysis and suggestions for correcting errors.
- Submit a scope of work for each project that includes budgetary numbers and the goal of each project.
- Collaborate with other Engineers and plant leadership to develop an accurate accounting of all engineering hours required for various types of internal projects.
- Understand project scope/background/objectives use data driven approach to solve problems and practice methodologies including Six Sigma DMAIC PDCA.
- Complete a report with a presentation and recommendations to management on process throughput improvements or ideas to improve the companys waste reduction on main production lines.
Qualifications :
- Pursing a bachelors degree in one of the following:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
- Operations Management / Engineering Management
- Expected graduation date between December 2025 and May 2027.
- Familiar with AutoCAD Solidworks Inventor and/or Fusion 360
- Familiar with Lean and Six Sigma concepts and practices
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Understanding of engineering economics concepts (ROI NPV etc. preferred but not required.
