Breakthrough technology is vital for strengthening the UKs Defence & Homeland Security. As an Electronics / RF Engineer at Awerian you will be at the forefront of this innovation race by helping to defend and protect the UK from the latest technological and cyber threats.
Your work will have a realworld impact. You will get to explore pioneering concepts by collaborating with elite multidisciplinary teams of highly educated and skilled scientists engineers and designers. Youll see ideas become a reality as you create prototypes through Awerians rapid approach to design and implementation. Its a fantastically challenging varied and agile role.
Every day you will be operating at the boundary of technological exploration by inventing new solutions and enhancing existing hardware. Typically this will involve analysis computational modelling prototype design invention laboratory testing process development and manufacturing.
Your problemsolving skills will be enhanced as you tackle complex electronic engineering challenges that test your deep understanding of engineering fundamentals and physical principles beyond pure electronics. You will also have many opportunities to expand your skillset into different areas based on what interests you.
Requirements
You will ideally have 3 years relevant experience working in electronics development in particular RF PCB design and characterisation have a proven track record of design and implementation of technological solutions and hold a relevant degree. Proven experience with RF design tools (for example ADS Microwave Office CST) is essential.
In addition experience in any of the following is desirable:
We are keen to hear from Engineers with broad experience in any sector. Previous or current experience in the defence industry is desirable but not essential
