The Fire Department City of New York (FDNY) seeks a fulltime Uniform Payroll Assistant in the Bureau of Bureau of Payroll/Timekeeping & Compliance Services. Reporting directly to the Uniform Payroll Manager the successful candidate will:
Assist in the preparation and distribution of the biweekly payroll W2 and 1127 tax documents monthly pay inserts for more than 11000 Uniformed employees. Analyze RMDS reports in the preparation and reconciliation of payroll for over $60 million on a biweekly basis. Responsible for the preparation of the paycheck report & mailing/refunding of payroll checks maintenance of the paycheck tracking system. Review the 319 payroll reports against commissioner/regular checks for accuracy. Review 160 report & process all adjustments identify overpayments for recoupment. Analyze data for the calculation and adjustment of TICS for members with prior City service. Generate CHRMS & NYCAPS reports in preparation for advancement in grade additions to gross as well as Longevity & Incremental advances in salary maturations. Responsible for computing final payment from payroll as well as leave balance payments (Including Terminal Leave) for employees separated by suspension retirement termination resignation &/or leave of absence. Processing military leave actions direct deposit savings bonds college savings transit check W4/IT2104 withholding forms LODI W2 corrections & CFRD deductions. Respond to all telephone and walkin inquiries as received.
PROCUREMENT ANALYST 12158
Qualifications :
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and six months of satisfactory fulltime professional experience in procurement of goods services construction or constructionrelated services or professional technical or administrative experience in contract negotiation/management; or
2. An associate degree or completion of 60 semester credits from an accredited college and 18 months of satisfactory fulltime professional experience as described in 1 above; or
3. A fouryear high school diploma or its educational equivalent and two and onehalf years of satisfactory full time professional experience as described in 1 above; or
4. A combination of education and/or experience equivalent to 1 2 or 3 above. College education may be substituted for professional experience under 2 or 3 above at the rate of 30 semester credits from an accredited college for 6 months of experience. However all candidates must have at least a four year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and 6 months of the experience described in 1 above.
SPECIAL NOTES:
To be eligible for placement in Assignment Level II individuals must have after meeting the minimum requirements either one year served at Assignment Level I or one additional year of the experience described in 1 above.
To be eligible for placement in Assignment Level III individuals must have after meeting the minimum requirements either one year served at Assignment Level II or two additional years of the experience described in 1 above at least one year of which must have been supervisory or spent performing professional procurement duties equivalent to those performed at Assignment Level III.
