Credit Controller

We are currently seeking a Credit Controller to join our Finance Department at our Market Drayton site on a 6 months fixed term contract to support with the upgrade of our new finance system.  

As Credit Controller you will help in maintaining the business cash flow through accurate and efficient control of incoming accounts.

As the successful candidate you will contribute to the overall success of the business and will report directly to the Credit Control Manager

This is a full time permanent position working Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm offering a competitive salary and the opportunity to work with a market leader.

Job responsibilities of Credit Controller include:

• To help control 4 main Sales Ledgers
• Forecasting to assist Credit Manager with the cash flow
• Carry out credit checks on potential new business using the agreed credit check form
• Continuous Monitoring of Credit limits and credit insurance.
• Allocate all incoming payments to customer accounts within agreed timescales
• Raising Invoices for intercompany recharges.
• Contribute to month/year end processes
• Running Dunning letters on overdue debt.
• Participation in individual Business Sector debt meetings.
• Generate monthly account statements for business customers and Account Managers
  • Follow up with contact to customer to pursue payment
  • Involve debt collection agencys where applicable
• Resolution of customer account queries
• Support the department where necessary with general administrative duties
• Keep up to date with news items vacancies and process updates as detailed on the Intranet system

Qualifications :

To apply for the role of Credit Controller you will possess the following skills experiences and qualifications:

• Previous Credit Control Experience
• Good knowledge of Microsoft systems including Excel and Word
• Previous experience with an accounting package such as SAP preferred
• Good communication skills
• Able to organise and prioritise own workload
• Attention to detail
• Team orientated
