Job Summary:
This role is responsible for supporting the administration of payroll processes and performing advanced payroll functions. The successful candidate will work closely with divisional payroll benefit specialists to address technical questions troubleshoot payroll software issues and ensure payroll accuracy and compliance. This position reports to the Manager of Payroll.
Job Responsibilities:
- Review multistate payrolls;
- Process monthly corporate payrolls;
- Act as liaison with the divisional payroll specialists to respond to technical questions as well as troubleshoot payroll processing issues;
- Present monthly payroll trainings;
- Process all companywide transfers within the payroll system;
- Assist with overseeing the Work Force Management Dimensions platform for electronic timekeeping;
- Process offcycle payroll adjustments;
- Maintain confidentiality of employee information;
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in Accounting a related field or equivalent technical training;
- CPP designation;
- Minimum of 5 years payroll processing experience of multistate payroll;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel and Access;
- Comfortable consolidating multiple sets of data;
- Working knowledge of accounting principles auditing concepts and controls and payroll taxes;
- Effective written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to use sound judgment and initiative;
- Selfstarter with ability to work with minimal supervision and multitask;
- Experience working with UKG and/or Dimensions systems a plus;
- Experience using vendor administrative software including data entry and reporting preferred.
