.2. Plan and prioritizeallocation of vaccine supplies, funding, and human resources based on thorough understandingof risks and poliovirus situation and in close coordination with HQ, countriesand partners.
. Provide effective responseto any importation of wild poliovirus or outbreak of circulating vaccinederived poliovirus in previously polio-free areas through planning, implementation,and coordination with GPEI partners for response to outbreaks in accordancewith global guidelines
4. Conduct and administer three-and six-month assessments of status of outbreaks, effectiveness of response andthe likelihood of continuing transmission
.5. Monitor progress andidentify risks in countries or sub-regions assigned. Identify constraints topolio eradication in priority countries and areas and support the developmentof plans of action to overcome those constraints
.6. Promote activities toenhance Acute Flaccid Paralysis (AFP) surveillance, including rapidsurveillance assessments, development of action plans to improve surveillance,evaluation of the impact of these plans, and training/orientation of nationaland sub-national staff
