Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Manager to oversee mechanical aspects of water and wastewater infrastructure projects in San Diego CA. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing largescale municipal projects leading construction teams ensuring compliance with regulations and coordinating with key stakeholders. This role requires strong leadership technical expertise and a commitment to delivering highquality projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage process mechanical operations in water and wastewater construction projects.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients regulatory agencies engineers and contractors.

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships and seek new business opportunities.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies project standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Provide oversight and direction in construction management contract administration scheduling change order management and quality assurance.

  • Monitor project budget schedule and overall performance to meet objectives.

  • Supervise and mentor a team of construction management professionals and support staff.

  • Authorize and approve purchase requisitions and change requests within signature authority.

  • Implement and enforce the company safety program to maintain a secure work environment.

  • Attend industry networking events to expand professional connections and company visibility.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Civil Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Construction Management or a related field.

  • Minimum 12 years of experience managing municipal water and/or wastewater projects including treatment plants pump stations pipelines and tunnels.

  • 8 years of management experience including client relations business development project execution and staff supervision.

  • CCM or PMP certification required (or willingness to obtain within 12 months).

  • Strong knowledge of construction technology equipment methods and labor agreements.

  • Experience with corporate and industry standards contract negotiations and risk management.

  • Excellent communication leadership organizational and decisionmaking skills.

  • Proven business acumen with experience in project profitability and P&L management.
