Job Description
Due to company growth our clientis looking to add to their FieldService Engineers team.
As a FieldService Engineer you will have an integral role within the service teamassisting in the delivery of the businesss onsite activities. You must beable to work independently or as part of a team to meet customer expectationsand achieve our company goals.
This role is a Permanent position working Monday Friday
Travel throughout the island is essential. A driving license is essential with a maximum of 6 penalty points.
Roles & Responsibilities
To cover allaspects of generator servicing including oil & filter changes and oilfuel and coolant sampling.
To conductload bank testing on customerowned generator units.
Toaccurately faultfind and diagnose both mechanical and electrical issues.
To work on abroad range of generator/engine brands including (but not limited to)Cummins Perkins Caterpillar John Deere Volvo Scania Iveco and Dorman.
To be ableto work independently on engines from 9kVA to 16MW.
To completeall types of engine repairs (both mechanical and electrical).
Fuel pumpsengine belts starter motors fuel hoses cooling systems AVM etc.
Batteriesbattery chargers water jacket heaters starter cables key switches etc.
To be ableto interrogate different control systems such as DSE ComAp and DEIF.
Tounderstand changeover systems.
To be ableto complete or assist with mechanical engine rebuilds / topend overhauls.
To be ableto complete or assist with control panel upgrade works/retrofits.
Todemonstrate knowledge and experience of both mechanical and electrical skillsets.

Essentialskills and experience:
Previousexperience in similar generator services companies or within the powergeneration industry
Valid CSRcard
Ability tomanage own workload and establish priorities
Experiencein working effectively as part of a team as well as independently
Ability to solve problems with a positive attitude
Selfmotivated and able to learn quickly
Strongattention to detail with high levels of accuracy
Willingnessto undertake further training as required for professional
development
Able toliaise with customers professionally and convey information

Controls systems training courses
Electricalqualifications City & Guilds 17th/18th edition
