Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Storage and Backup Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in storage and backup technologies with a strong focus on troubleshooting optimization and ensuring the reliability and performance of enterpriselevel storage and backup systems.
This role requires advanced problemsolving skills the ability to lead complex projects and provide expertlevel support to internal teams and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the highest level of escalation for troubleshooting and resolving complex storage and backuprelated issues.
- Design implement and manage enterpriselevel storage and backup solutions ensuring high availability scalability and performance.
- Perform root cause analysis for critical incidents and provide longterm solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Optimize storage and backup infrastructure to meet business requirements and improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to plan and execute storage and backup strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Monitor and maintain storage and backup systems ensuring compliance with security and data protection policies.
- Evaluate and recommend new storage and backup technologies tools and best practices.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to L1/L2 support teams.
- Develop and maintain documentation including system configurations processes and procedures.
- Lead disaster recovery planning and testing to ensure business continuity.
Requirements
Job Types: Fulltime Contract
Pay: $6000.00 per month
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
Education:
- Bachelors (Required)
Experience:
- Storage and Backup Specialist: 8 years (Required)
* Proficiency in storage protocols (e.g., iSCSI, Fibre Channel, NFS, CIFS). * Knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V). * Scripting and automation skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for storage and backup management. * Understanding of data security and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
Education
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
