Job Description
Job Summary:
1. Manage the organizations data storage and backup solutions to ensure data security and efficiency.
2. Plan implement manage and troubleshoot the organizations backup and storage systems.
3. Develop and implement backup policies and procedures.
4. Monitor backup jobs and resolve any issues or failures.
5. Design and manage storage solutions including SAN NAS and DAS systems.
6. Monitor storage capacity and performance and plan for future growth.
7. Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and conduct regular testing and drills.
8. Implement security measures to protect data from unauthorized access and breaches.
9. Diagnose and resolve backup and storagerelated issues.
10. Provide support for data recovery requests and collaborate with IT teams for optimization.
11. Maintain detailed documentation of backup and storage configurations and procedures.
12. Generate reports on backup status storage usage and performance metrics.
13. Procure storage hardware and software from vendors and manage vendor relationships.
14. Proficiency in backup software and knowledge of storage technologies.
15. Familiarity with various operating systems and ability to optimize backup and storage systems for efficiency.
