Job Description
Thompson Staffing is looking for an Attorney with first party property defense experience to work for a law firm in Miami FL. Candidate must have between 5 7 years of experience in the field of first party property and be a member in good standing of the Florida bar. Candidate must have exceptional writing research and litigation skills. This position is fulltime with full benefits.
Primary duties include:
- Review and defend first party property claims; legal analysis of claims and causes of action
- Extensive legal research and drafting of substantial pleadings
- Regularly representing clients in court at arbitrations and in depositions
- Drafting and responding to discovery requests
- Expert witness retention and collaboration
- Trial preparation and attendance
- Some travel may be required
Requirements
- 5 years of First Party Property Defense
- Experience handling civil cases from beginning to end
- Experience taking and defending depositions and experts witnesses drafting and arguing substantive motions attending hearings and trials
- Experience participating in negotiations and mediations
- J.D. degree from an ABAapproved law school
- Admitted to practice in the state of Florida
- Superior analytical and problemsolving skills
- Solid research abilities and written and oral communication skills
- Strong work ethic the ability to selfmanage and work in a team environment
- Must respond promptly to email and phone inquiries
- Excellent client skills
Pay Range $143000 $152900
