Job Description

  • Is aware of and abides by all hotel policies procedures & relevant legislations
  • Ensures all directions are followed out at the request of any level of Senior Management
  • Keeps abreast of all product knowledge ranging from daily functions services and facilities available and marketing and promotional activities.
  • Projects a favorable image of the hotel through a positive and professional attitude manner and presentation.
  • Maintains a positive relationship with Guests and Colleagues by meeting and exceeding their expectations through Heartist approach.
  • Maintain personal presentation and hygiene as per the grooming standards issued by Accor.
  • Ensure Guest details remain confidential.
  • Reports any hazards risks accidents as required
  • Abides by and is aware of all relevant Occupational Health & Safety legislation
  • Answer all incoming calls within three rings using the Accor greeting standards.
  • Constantly reviewing the performance and operations of yourself and the department through monitoring IQA results and RPS results.
  • Always remain professional in attitude manner and presentation providing Guests with a 5 star Heartist approach including using their name where possible and acknowledging Guests with eye contact as they approach the desk.
  • Keeps abreast of all product knowledge ranging from daily functions services and facilities available and marketing and promotional activities.
  • Assist Guests with general enquiries providing accurate and detailed information

Qualifications :

  • Previous customer related experience an asset
  • Excellent oral & written communication and interpersonal skills; Spoken English and Japanese is mandatory and additional languages (Chinese) an asset.
  • This is a 24/7 operation and all personnel are expected to adjust work hours to the needs of the business. Some position will include late nights weekend and holiday work.
  • Position requires continuous standing and walking throughout the shift. Strong knowledge of computer systems required OPERA (or similar) and additional languages are an asset
  • Exceptional time management and multitasking skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Occasional lifting and carrying up to 20 kg
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs remaining calm and courteous at all times
