Evac North America is seeking a detailoriented and qualityfocused Assembler Inspection & Quality to join our team. In this role you will primarily be responsible for the quality inspection of parts and assembled items in our shop while also performing assembly tasks as needed. You may be assigned to various operational departments and will serve as a backup for the Operations Lead.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspection & Quality Duties:
- Conduct receiving inprocess and final inspections ensuring accurate recordkeeping.
- Prepare NonConforming Material Reports (NMR) and assist the Quality Engineer with root cause analysis and corrective action plans.
- Manage measurement and test equipment (M&TE) calibration processes logs and records.
- Maintain an approved supplier database and related records.
- Support supplier Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and sitelevel FAT processes.
- Assist with sitelevel ISO management system external and internal audits.
- Conduct supplier quality audits and handle returned goods/warranty claims.
- Report and address Environment Health and Safety incidents.
- Collaborate with the local QEHS engineer and internal audit team.
- Support the Quality Management System (QMS) at the local site in alignment with Group Quality requirements.
Assembly & Operations Duties:
- Perform large and small assemblies following standard procedures.
- Conduct product testing per established protocols.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and positive team collaboration.
- Act as the Operations Lead in their absence.
- Complete other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager and/or Operations Lead.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Associate degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) preferred; or a high school diploma/GED with equivalent experience.
- Basic knowledge of ISO 9001 ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
- ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) certification is a plus.
- Proficiency in using common quality inspection tools including calipers micrometers height gauges gauge pins and pressure gauges.
- Familiarity with inspection plans manufacturing drawings machining welding materials and technical specifications.
- Ability to understand and comply with government standards and regulations.
- Minimum of 3 years of assembly work experience in a manufacturing environment.
- High degree of manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds periodically.
- Ability to operate manually powered and motorized material handling equipment.
