Job Description
Overview:
Plans coordinates and directs control program designed to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards. Conducts audits of production facilities to ensure company standards are maintained and product integrity is preserved. Consults with management/supervisors and leads to resolve quality production efficiency and utilization problems.
Heres what youll do:
- Develops and analyzes statistical data and product specifications to determine present standards and establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy of finished product
- Formulates and maintains quality control objectives complementary to company policies and goals
- Creates and implements inspection criteria and procedures
- Interprets and quality control procedures and policies to personnel
- Coordinates objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other management staff to maximize product reliability and minimize costs
- Provide inspection activity for product
- Involved in resolving quality issues within packing facility from postharvest to packaging
- Educate and instruct plant personnel in recommended fruit quality tolerance and quality defects
- Supervise workers engaged in inspection criteria and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
Heres what youll bring to the table:
- Bachelors Degree in related field or 3 years experience in a food processing environment
- Strong analytical skills
- Computer literate
- Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in English
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as statistical means averages cycle times inventory turnovers proportions percentages area circumference and volume.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule form
- Must be able to troubleshoot equipment/process problems and propose solutions. Problemsolving skills are essential to this position.
Pay Range: $70000 $80000 and may include a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience
