Job Description
RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in Healthcare recruitment for Domestic and Overseas candidates for Hospitals Nursing Homes Home care and Community care.
We are hiring a Basic Grade Medical Scientist Microbiology in a Hospital in Dublin Ireland.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Consultant Microbiologist Laboratory Manager and Chief Medical Scientist to implement new ideas and procedures in accordance with hospital policy.
- Participate as needed in the registration custody and inventory management of laboratory reagents and other consumables.
- Complete allocated activities on schedule including those required for nonconformance closure change control and complaint resolution.
- Participate in the implementation of effective safety procedures to ensure compliance with health and safety requirements safe working practices and a safe working environment.
- Assist and cooperate with the Pathology Management Team in designing processes for preventing and controlling laboratory incidents.
- Participate as needed in the development of the departments laboratory information system.
Requirements
- Candidates for appointment must have a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Medical Science or a Bachelor of Science (Honours) from a Biomedical Science Institute.
- An comparable qualification recognised by the Academy of Clinical Science and Laboratory Medicine (ACSLM).
- Show evidence of continuous professional development. Eligibility for membership or fellowship in the Academy of Clinical Science and Laboratory Medicine (ACSLM).
- Applicants must be registered with CORU and have experience utilising a laboratory information management system.
- Post graduate experience in a pathology laboratory
- Experience with molecular testing
