We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join our team. This role involves providing technical assurance overseeing design and implementation activities and ensuring compliance with modern engineering standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide engineering support to develop work scopes manage requirements and perform assurance activities for projects.
Manage engineering support for assigned systems.
Offer guidance and support to Lead Project Engineers and Project Engineers.
Assist in the recruitment and development of engineering personnel.
Deputise for the Head of Engineering and other Engineering Managers when required.
Promote best practices and ensure the correct behaviours are demonstrated by the engineering team.
Lead competency assessments and career development initiatives.
Ensure effective communication of Learning from Experience (LfE) within the team.
Collaborate with stakeholders to support efficient programme delivery.
Oversee the management of consultants and contractors.
Work closely with BIM/CAD teams to integrate engineering solutions.
Adhere to site Safety Management Arrangements processes and procedures.
Chair meetings and design reviews to ensure project alignment.
Support programme optioneering and project planning processes.
Review and approve project documentation.
Ensure regulatory compliance with industry standards and siteauthorised conditions.
Comply with all Health Safety Environment Security and Quality policies.
Deliver engineering presentations and reports as required.
Qualifications :
Essential Skills & Experience:
Degree qualification in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline.
Chartered Engineer status or the ability to attain chartered status (demonstration of continued professional development).
Desirable Skills & Experience:
Experience in:
Technical assurance and compliance within a regulated environment.
Project engineering including site implementation and stakeholder engagement.
Production of technical documentation (e.g. reports specifications).
Supervision and mentoring of engineering teams.
Familiarity with NEC4 contracts and industry regulations.
Security Clearance & Nationality Requirements:
Sole UK Nationals only due to security requirements.
SC Clearance is required for this role.
