1.Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce costs Negotiate rate with
the forwarder & mapping with the market rate and obtain internal approval
2.Export Logistics Knowledge on freight setting up the network of FF/CHAs at source and destination i.e.
Air & Sea is desired
3.Experience in pricing strategies for sea export shipments
4.Booking spaces for goods on trains ships and planes and planning the most suitable mode of transport
and route
5. Maintain and regularly update a pricing history database.
6.Working out import and export duties and arranging payment for freight services and other charges
7.Working out the details of transport and insurance costs
8.Preparing quotes invoices and all necessary licenses and paperwork
9.Must have good exposure to negotiation with shipping lines and freight forwarder/CHA
10.Knowledge of international shipping regulations and customs procedures
11.Liaison with shipping/airlines and manufacturing on cargo/consolidation movements
12.Develop and maintain relationships with vendors suppliers and customers
13. Candidates with experience of working in SAP environment shall be preferred.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Business Administration International Trade Supply Chain Management or a related
field (MBA preferred).
Minimum of 68 years of experience in import/export operations within the oleo chemicals or related
industries.
Strong knowledge of international trade regulations logistics processes and documentation requirements.
Excellent negotiation communication and relationshipbuilding skills.
