Job Summary: We are looking for an Agile Product Owner with expertise in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and experience in the financial services domain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining and managing the product backlog working closely with stakeholders and ensuring alignment between business goals and development efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Backlog Management & Refinement:
o Create maintain and prioritize the User Stories Backlog based on business value and ROI.
o Define and refine backlog items to ensure clear acceptance criteria and development readiness.
2. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
o Work closely with System Architects Engineering Teams other Product Owners and Product Managers to develop and groom the team backlog.
o Participate in crossfunctional collaboration for interdependencies feature alignment and backlog prioritization.
3. Sprint & PI Planning:
o Assist in elaborating Features into User Stories ensuring they are granular enough to be completed within a sprint.
o Convey the Product Vision and Goals at the beginning of each Program Increment (PI) and Sprint to ensure team alignment.
o Prioritize and sequence backlog items to maximize business value.
4. Agile Execution & Continuous Improvement:
o Actively participate in daily Scrums Sprint Planning Reviews and Retrospectives to guide development efforts.
o Inspect the product progress at the end of each sprint with full authority to accept or reject deliverables based on acceptance criteria.
o Collaborate with other Product Owners and Scrum Masters to resolve interdependencies and remove blockers.
5. Communication & Reporting:
o Provide regular status updates to stakeholders and leadership.
o Ensure transparent communication of risks progress and dependencies across teams.
Required Skills & Experience:
Proven experience as an Agile Product Owner in a fastpaced development environment.
Handson experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and Agile methodologies.
Strong backlog management prioritization and stakeholder engagement skills.
Experience in the financial services domain is highly preferred.
Ability to work with crossfunctional teams and drive product development initiatives.
Excellent communication negotiation and problemsolving skills.
Proficiency in Agile tools like JIRA Rally Azure DevOps or similar.
Preferred Qualifications:
SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) certification or other Agile certifications.
Experience in regulatory compliance and risk management within financial services.
Familiarity with API integrations data analytics or fintech solutions is a plus.
