Job Description
- $2678 per hour
- Minimum of 30 hours per week guaranteed
Are you a team player who thrives in a fastpaced kitchen environment We are looking for a dedicated Kitchen Hand to keep our kitchen running smoothly! If you have a passion for great food a strong work ethic and love being part of a dynamic team we would love to hear from you!
As a Kitchen Hand youll play a vital role in keeping our kitchen running efficiently. You will ensure all kitchen areas are clean and organised provide food and beverage outlets with sanitised equipment and follow proper foodhandling techniques in line with current health and hygiene regulations. Your support helps our chefs deliver outstanding dishes every time!
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensure that kitchens and equipment are kept clean and tidy according to current Health and Hygiene regulations.
- Ensure all operating equipment crockery cutlery & glassware is hygienically cleaned and safely stored.
- Ensure the correct handling of chemicals and equipment as per manufacturers instructions.
- Ensure waste is removed from kitchens on a regular basis and that it is recycled appropriately.
- Assist in the preparation of food as directed by the Executive Chef or supervisory team.
- Actively support and participate in safe work practices following health and safety and environment policies and procedures in the workplace.
Qualifications :
About You
- A strong work ethic and the ability to thrive in a fastpaced kitchen environment.
- Great teamwork and communication skills to support the kitchen brigade.
- Attention to detail ensuring all kitchen areas and equipment are spotless and hygienic.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices will be advantageous.
- The ability to manage time effectively and work efficiently under pressure.
- Ability to work 5 days per week on a rotating 7 day roster including after hours weekends and public holidays.
- Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality setting is a plus but not essentialwere happy to train the right person!
