Job Description
We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our kitchen team in the role of Kitchen Hand. As a Kitchen Hand you will play a crucial role in supporting the kitchen operations and maintaining a clean and organised workspace.
This is a part time role working across a 7 day roster waged at $25.09 per hour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in basic food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen team.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in kitchen areas including washing dishes utensils and kitchen equipment.
- Ensure timely removal of waste and recycling keeping disposal areas organized.
- Support kitchen staff in various tasks contributing to the overall efficiency of the kitchen.
- Follow established health and safety guidelines in all aspects of the role.
- Assist with the organization and storage of kitchen supplies
Qualifications :
- Ability to work a flexible roster including mornings evenings weekends and public holidays
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Motivated and driven.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Previous experience as a Kitchen Hand is advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to work well in a fastpaced kitchen environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Willingness to follow instructions and learn new tasks.
- Availability for the specified fixedterm duration.
- Must be a New Zealand citizen permanent resident or hold a valid work visa/permit.(immigration visa support or sponsorship is not available with this role)
