Job Description
- Responsible for period end close process as per companys accounting policies and procedures. This will include 1) Prepare a detailed plan for the period close 2) Completion of all pre close activities and action points from previous period. 3) Detailed review of the workings and summary of P&L and Balance Sheet to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Ability to identify use cases for Analytics and pursue them through in depth understanding of various sets of transactions at a root level. The outcomes can be improving speed in the process/ waste elimination / preventing leakages or result into cash savings for the company.
- In depth understanding of the business and ability to connect the dots quickly.
- Adhere to IFRS SOX Internal controls and SOP requirements. Complying with corporate timelines & deliverables ( GFRT) Includes Analytical reviews of both P&L Balance sheet line items Notes to accounts Fixed Assets Leases Schedule Intangibles schedule Advances Sundry Creditors Other Assets/Liabilities etc.
- Periodical Review and ensure hygiene of balance sheet line items to ensure no long outstanding cases.
- Responsible to guide and coach team members to realize their full potential fostering a supportive and productive work environment(Team size is 34). Promote and ensure strict compliance to SOPs and FSCP in closing.
- Pollinate ESSA ( Eliminate Simplify Standardize and Automate) philosophy and implement best in class practices to bring efficiency to the current processes.
- Provide adequate business support as needed ensuring the team meets organizational goals.
- Maintain strong crossfunctional relationships to support collaborative efforts and issue resolution.
Qualifications :
Chartered Accountant with 7 to 8 years of Experience (Prior Controlling/R2R experience is a plus)
Additional Information :
- Good understanding of Accounting Standards (IFRS) and Audit Documentation requirements ( SOX)
- Ability to lead the team from the front and be a go to person for the team.
- Methodical approach to ensure compliance.
- Networking and Collaboration with finance teams and CFTs.
- Problem comprehension and Solution Mindset (RCA)
