Position Overview:
Corrosion protection specialists are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor with a strong background in the corrosion protection industry to join our team in Bellville Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and handson experience in corrosion protection processes coatings and materials. Candidates without corrosion protection industry experience will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate all production activities related to corrosion protection processes.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards quality control and production schedules.
- Manage train and evaluate production staff ensuring high performance and compliance with company standards.
- Oversee the preparation and application of protective coatings ensuring optimal protection against corrosion.
- Monitor inventory levels of materials and supplies coordinating with procurement as necessary.
- Implement and maintain continuous improvement initiatives within the production process.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Maintain detailed production records and generate reports for management.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Production Supervisor in the corrosion protection industry.
- Strong knowledge of corrosion protection methods coatings and related equipment.
- Proven leadership abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure in a fastpaced environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and production management software.
- A relevant technical qualification will be advantageous.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong problemsolving abilities and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of health safety and environmental regulations within the corrosion protection industry.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Experience in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement processes.
