Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Employee Relations (ER):

    • Act as a key point of contact for employeerelated issues resolving concerns and disputes promptly and professionally.
    • Promote a positive work culture driving employee engagement and ensuring open communication channels.
    • Conduct investigations into employee grievances and recommend appropriate solutions.
    • Manage disciplinary issues in line with company policies ensuring fair and consistent handling of employee concerns.
  2. Compliance & Labor Law:

    • Ensure adherence to labor laws and regulations including statutory compliance related to contracts leave policies benefits and more.
    • Regularly audit and ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws including the Industrial Disputes Act Payment of Gratuity Act Employees Provident Fund (EPF) and others.
    • Maintain uptodate knowledge of changing labor laws and ensure policies are aligned with the latest legal requirements.
    • Prepare and maintain necessary compliance documentation and reports including audits and inspections.
  3. Industrial Relations (IR):

    • Manage relationships with unions (if applicable) and act as the liaison between the management and the workforce.
    • Handle any IRrelated issues including disputes strikes or grievances and work towards maintaining industrial harmony.
    • Support management in developing and implementing effective IR strategies.
    • Ensure compliance with all IRrelated regulations including handling negotiations settlements and legal matters.
  4. Talent Management & Development:

    • Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure effective recruitment processes for various roles in Kolkata.
    • Identify opportunities for employee development and career progression.
    • Support the implementation of employee training and development programs.
  5. Performance Management:

    • Work with business leaders to develop and implement performance management systems and ensure regular feedback and reviews.
    • Provide coaching to managers on handling performance issues and supporting employee development.
  6. HR Projects & Strategic Initiatives:

    • Partner with senior leadership to align HR strategies with business objectives ensuring that HR initiatives support organizational growth.
    • Lead and participate in HR projects such as workforce planning talent retention strategies and employee engagement surveys.
  7. Reporting & Analytics:

    • Maintain HR metrics and provide datadriven insights to senior leadership on key HR performance indicators.
    • Prepare HR reports for management and stakeholders on various HR matters such as compliance attrition engagement etc.
