Job Title: Business Analyst Junior (HYBRID)
Location: Raleigh NC
Duration: 12 Months
Job Description:
The Client is seeking a skilled and detailoriented Business Analyst to support app rationalization efforts and business architecture initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders across various state departments to analyze optimize and consolidate the portfolio of applications and IT systems. This role will be key to aligning technology with business strategies and ensuring that the states digital infrastructure is efficient scalable and costeffective.
Key Responsibilities:
App Rationalization:
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to assess the current application portfolio identifying redundant obsolete or underutilized systems.
- Analyze the lifecycle performance and value of existing applications to guide decisions on retirement consolidation replacement or optimization.
- Support the development of roadmaps and strategies to streamline the application portfolio ensuring alignment with business goals and technology standards.
Business Architecture Support:
- Assist in the creation and documentation of business architecture models aligning business processes with technology solutions.
- Work with stakeholders to identify business requirements system dependencies and pain points in current workflows.
- Ensure that technology solutions and application rationalization efforts align with the overall business architecture framework.
Experience:
- Minimum of 35 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role with a focus on application portfolio management business architecture and/or IT strategy.
- Proven experience in app rationalization or business architecture efforts especially in large complex organizations or public sector environments.
- Strong understanding of business processes systems integration and the software development lifecycle.
