Job Description
This Toptier law firm is seeking an Intellectual Property Litigation Associate to join its thriving national patent litigation practice. This position offers the opportunity to focus on highstakes patent litigation for a national and international client base. The firm is looking to add this role in Chicago and Washington D.C.
This renowned IP litigation group is at the forefront of protecting cuttingedge innovations. With a deep bench of experienced litigators the team has successfully handled complex cases in federal courts nationwide. Their strong technical knowledge spans diverse industries allowing them to develop creative businessfocused strategies for both plaintiffs and defendants in patent infringement trade secret misappropriation licensing disputes and other highstakes intellectual property matters. They also have unique experience in fasttrack cases before the International Trade Commission (ITC) and handling Federal Circuit appeals as well as navigating the interplay between litigation and postgrant proceedings at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
Qualifications:
- 1 to 3 years of intellectual property litigation experience
- Strong preference for candidates with a background in electrical engineering computer engineering or computer science
- Federal judicial clerkship experience is highly valued
- Excellent academic credentials
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative clientfocused teamoriented environment
