1. Project Planning & Coordination
- Develop C&S project timelines and ensure alignment with the master project schedule.
- Coordinate with architects M&E engineers planners and contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
- Conduct feasibility studies and preliminary assessments for new developments.
- Provide technical input on land use planning and infrastructure layout.
2. Design & Engineering Management
- Oversee and review C&S design consultants to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g. Jabatan Kerja Raya Jabatan Pengairan dan Saliran Local Authorities).
- Propose value engineering solutions to optimize costs while maintaining quality standards.
- Ensure infrastructure solutions align with sustainability goals incorporating ecofriendly design principles.
3. Authority Liaison & Compliance
- Manage authority submissions and approvals for earthworks drainage roadworks and structural plans.
- Liaise with local councils utility providers and regulatory bodies to facilitate smooth project approvals.
- Ensure all works comply with industry standards including CIDB BEM and DOSH regulations.
4. Construction & Site Support
- Provide technical guidance to site teams for C&S implementation and issue resolution.
- Address contractor and consultant queries related to structural and infrastructure design.
5. Risk Management & ProblemSolving
- Identify potential risks in infrastructure and structural planning proposing effective mitigation strategies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve engineering challenges in collaboration with consultants and site teams.
Requirements
Education and Experience:
o Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
o Minimum 8 10 years of experience in civil & structural engineering or related fields
with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
o Strong experience in C&S design management authority liaison and construction
coordination
Technical Skills:
o Proficient in AutoCAD and project management tools.
o Knowledge of local authority guidelines (JKR DOSH CIDB etc.)
Leadership and Communication:
o Strong leadership interpersonal and communication skills to manage teams and liaise
with stakeholders effectively.
o Ability to solve problem and make decisions under tight deadlines.
