Job Description
Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: Dade City FL 33525
Pay rate: $50/hourly
Duration: 13 weeks contract
Shift: 8:00 AM:4:30 PM
Guarantee Hours: 30
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct evaluations to identify speech language cognitivecommunication and swallowing disorders.
- Treatment Planning: Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and patient needs.
- Therapy Implementation: Provide therapy to improve communication skills including speech articulation language comprehension and expression voice fluency and social communication.
- Swallowing Therapy: Address swallowing disorders by developing and implementing appropriate treatment strategies.
- Family and Caregiver Education: Educate family members and caregivers on strategies to support communication and swallowing at home.
- Collaboration: Work with other healthcare professionals such as doctors and audiologists to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of patient evaluations treatment plans progress and discharge summaries.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in SpeechLanguage Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure or certification as a SpeechLanguage Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in SpeechLanguage Pathology (CCCSLP) from the American SpeechLanguageHearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience with a diverse patient population is advantageous.
