Job Description
The Commercial Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Senior Financial Analyst will help to support the forecasting reporting and analysis of the digital & physical lines of businesses within Universal Pictures Home Entertainment. The Analyst will play an important role in title level forecasting & budgeting weekly/biweekly reporting monthly financial pacing and various quarterly and annual financial reviews. This person should have a finance or related background with excellent technical and analytical skills. Attention to detail is important as the reporting our team generates is distributed across several teams within UPHE as well as other business units we work closely with. This position will report to the Director of Commercial FP&A supporting the Commercial & Analytics team and will work closely with Brand Global FP&A and Film HQ.
Responsibilities:
- Manage digital and physical New Release financial estimates for Universal Pictures and Local Acquisitions
- Partner with Analytics Brand Marketing Digital Distribution and Global FP&A to create and lead Greenlight & PreRelease ultimates through the UPHE Executive Management approval process
- Prepare and distribute weekly dashboard ensuring accurate data gathering and title reporting
- Distribute weekly PVOD Summary
- Assist with the updating and maintaining of premium forecasting files
- Assist with monthly pacing forecast process for new release titles; help to consolidate and upload financial data to studio Film Headquarters
- Assist in quarterly toolkit and annual deep dive review of title ultimates
- Support team reporting efforts using tools such as Power BI
- Manage financial models to accurately reflect financial planning and analysis activities while maintaining tight communication with cross functional teams such as Marketing Sales Controllership and Retail Planning
- Liaise with account managers to ensure delivery of accurate and timely pointofsale data from retailers
- Identify useful enhancements to internal data warehouse
- Support the Senior Management Team with adhoc data and financial analysis requests
- Work with the team to drive business process improvements across the group
- Build effective business partner relationships with internal stakeholders
- Present updates to a wide variety of interested parties tailoring the message to fit the needs of the audience
Qualifications :
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Business Finance Accounting or related field
- Proficient in MS Office Suite particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Finance or related role
Desired Characteristics:
- Interest in Entertainment strongly desired
- Advanced computer skills primarily Excel
- Ability to plan and organize work to deliver on multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines
- Exceptional attention to detail and high standards for quality and accuracy
- Team Player Demonstrated ability to operate in a crossfunctional team environment and willingness to give assistance to coworkers to achieve departmental goals
- Analytical Solid analytical and creative skill blended with practicality
- Ability to identify data inconsistencies and errors

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
