The Settlement Team Lead ensures accurate preparation and review of settlement drafts transaction reports and facilitates reconciliation and investigation of transactions. The role maintains records liaises with other teams to address merchant and payment partner concerns and ensures compliance with financial settlement processes and government regulations
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Settlement Draft Preparation: Oversee the accurate preparation of daily and weekly settlement drafts for merchants.
- Transaction Reconciliation: Review and reconcile transactions ensuring alignment between settlement reports and payment partner data.
- Collaborate with the disbursement team to ensure timely settlement report Disbursement Coordination: submission.
- Record Management: Maintain and update records of settlement reports for merchants and payment partners.
- Issue Resolution: Investigate unreconciled transactions and address concerns from merchants and payment partners.
- Compliance: Ensure government settlement processes are followed in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Adhere to quality and compliance standards as part of our Information Security Management System. This includes following documented processes participating in continuous improvement and maintaining accurate records. Requirements
EDUCATION:
Bachelors degree in finance accounting business administration or a related field
EXPERIENCE:
12 years of relevant experience in finance accounting or a related field.
Experience in financial reconciliation transaction processing settlements or similar roles within the financial services industry is preferred.
