What will you be doing
Were seeking a talented individual to join our our Professional Services HR team in London as Employee Relations Manager. To provide employee relations support to both employees and managers across the Professional Services business by leading a team of HR Advisers. Working with the wider HR team and partnering particularly with the HR Business Partners and Leadership Team to provide advice guidance and support and be a subject matter expert on all employee relations matters ensuring a highquality service to the business. This individual will also ensure that the company is compliant with employment laws and regulations.
As Employee Relations Manager your responsibilities will include among others
- Lead and develop the HR Advisory Team to deliver a highquality employee relations service
- Manage and be the point of escalation on employee relations queries working in conjunction with the wider HR team
- Lead on the creation review and processes associated with HR policy and employee relations to ensure they are effective efficient and inline with employment legislation
- Partner with Learning & Development team to identify and support the design and delivery of relevant training sessions and interventions which will address areas that have been highlighted as requiring remediation or further focus
- Analyse present and communicate HR data in a meaningful way which helps HR Business Partners and business units manage their functions support change initiatives by providing relevant insight and trends analysis
- Support the HR Business Partners with complex employee relations issues and resolution of internal complaints
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with both internal and external clients and continually search for ways to increase client satisfaction
- Work in conjunction with the HR Data & Systems team to review metrics ensuring that the reporting data is accurate
- Support on project work as required.
- Keep up to date with employment legislation and employee relationship trends. Responsible for regular employment contract review ensuring current legislative requirements are met.
Qualifications :
To be successful in this role you should
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team
- Excellent knowledge of employment law and how to practically apply it within a Professional Services business
- Strong communication skills both oral and written
- Analytical with good attention to detail when reviewing reporting data and processes
- Ability to work under pressure maintaining accuracy whilst achieving timescales
- High computer literacy including skills in MS Excel Word PowerPoint Outlook reporting from HRIS
- Ability to both influence and build relationships with key stakeholders
- Demonstrable ability to build credibility with stakeholder population
- Experience of effectively managing employment risk
- Up to date knowledge of UK employment law and legislation
Professional Qualifications and Education
- Chartered CIPD (or equivalent)
- Appropriate training or learning associated with Leadership skills
- Relevant employment law qualifications eg degree or employment law certification is desirable
- Appropriate training or learning associated with Project Management preferred but not essential
