Job Description
This role needs the candidate to be in Los AngelesCA (Accepting candidates who are open to relocate Day 1)
We are looking for someone with a good blend of business consulting skills and data analytics background. If you are passionate about working on unstructured business problems that can be solved using data we would like to talk to you.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work on the latest applications of data science to solve business problems
- Participate in discussions with team members to select and apply relevant analytic techniques and create actionable business insights
- Ability to understand the business context by discussing existing data models with senior client leaders and deriving useful business insights
- Extract transform and organize the data into datasets using tools like SQL
- Ability to break down a project into specific tasks involving business analysis data science and engineering
- Direct teams of business analysts to create datadriven solutions
- Architect data analytics frameworks and solutions to solve datadriven business problems
- Use Data Science Machine Learning Artificial Intelligence and Operational Research techniques to develop data models
- Experienced in building and maintaining predictive and/or prescriptive models in production at an enterprise scale
- Experienced in developing and running simulation optimization and whatif scenario planning tools to support decisionmaking
- Demonstrable ability to sift through data identify critical information analyze develop hypotheses and make recommendations to a broader audience required
- Consistent record of working crossfunctionally to develop innovative solutions using advanced analytics
- Prior experience synthesizing and packaging complex analyses and delivering results to nontechnical audiences including senior leadership teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including ability to develop and deliver presentation
- Familiarity with agile development methodology
- Utilizing appropriate quality checks to ensure the results are sound
- 1115 years of professional work experience with at least 5 years in business data analytics
- Experience in CPG domain is required
- Supply Chain background and prior experience in areas of Demand Supply Shipping Inventory Planning etc. are required
- Experience working with large data sets is preferable (with an emphasis on business analysis problems)
- Experience working with offshore teams
- Bachelors degree in Mathematics Statistics or related field with experience in areas such as Supply chain planning and operations Ecommerce and store retail experience preferred
- Demonstrated technical and analytical skill set to work with analytics toolkit such as:

- Python SQL Git Power BI
- PySpark MS Azure services

- Ability to engage with executive/VP level stakeholders from the clients team to translate business problems to highlevel analytics solution approach
- Ability to work crossfunctionally to develop innovative solutions using advanced analytics
- Prior experience in synthesizing and packaging complex analyses and delivering results to nontechnical audiences including senior leadership teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including ability to develop and deliver presentation
- Familiarity with agile development methodology
- Strong project management and team management skills and ability to work with global teams
- Knowledge of statistical and machine learning algorithms
- Exposure to cloud platforms and big data systems such as Hadoop HDFS and Hive is a plus
