Job Title: Finance Manager
Organizational Relationship
- Reports to: CEO/Managing Director
- Supervises: Accountants/Finance Assistants
- Coordinates with: All Heads of Departments
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare and present the monthly Profit and Loss Statement by the 5th of each month.
- Generate and share monthly Trial Balances.
- Prepare quarterly Balance Sheets.
- Analyze financial data to support strategic decisionmaking.
Revenue Management & Collections:
- Oversee and set monthly revenue collection targets.
- Ensure timely invoicing and customer statement distribution.
- Track and monitor receivables through weekly aging reports.
Expense & Cash Flow Management:
- Control annual expenses to align with company objectives.
- Maintain effective cash flow management to meet operational obligations.
- Approve and oversee all payments both physical and systembased.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and adjust reconciling items (e.g. bank charges ledger fees).
Tax & Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure timely tax filings and remittances to relevant authorities.
- Enforce financial controls and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Budgeting & Financial Planning:
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets for management approval.
- Monitor profitability levels and share monthly financial performance insights with management.
Asset & Payroll Management:
- Oversee asset tagging register updates (disposals additions depreciation).
- Review payroll accuracy before final approval and execution.
Team Leadership & Performance Management:
- Supervise and mentor finance team members fostering professional growth.
- Conduct quarterly and semiannual performance appraisals based on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Other Duties:
- Maintain accurate and uptodate supplier and customer accounts.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and controls.
- Perform any other financerelated tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Economics or a related field.
- Professional certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 7 years of relevant financial management experience.
- Strong analytical problemsolving and decisionmaking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple priorities.
