Job Description

We are seeking a Sourcing Engineer to evaluate develop and optimize supplier performance. The role involves supplier audits negotiations and ensuring the highest standards in quality cost and delivery timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess current and potential suppliers through reviews site visits and audits.
  • Negotiate pricing contracts and delivery terms to meet cost and quality objectives.
  • Collaborate with Supplier Quality teams to resolve quality or delivery issues.
  • Develop strategies to optimize supplier relationships and enhance supply chain efficiency.
  • Maintain and update supplier records including certifications and performance metrics.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering Supply Chain or related field.
  • 3 years of experience in sourcing or procurement preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in supplier evaluation tools and quality management systems.
  • Strong negotiation communication and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and cost optimization strategies.

  • Supplier Evaluation: Ability to assess and evaluate suppliers using tools and audits to ensure they meet performance standards.
  • Negotiation Skills: Strong skills in negotiating pricing contracts and delivery terms to achieve optimal cost and quality.
  • Quality Management: Knowledge of quality management systems (QMS) and the ability to collaborate with Supplier Quality teams to resolve issues.
  • Supply Chain Optimization: Expertise in developing strategies to optimize supplier relationships and improve overall supply chain efficiency.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze supplier performance data and develop action plans based on findings.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication for effective interaction with suppliers teams and stakeholders.
  • Contract Management: Experience in drafting reviewing and managing supplier contracts and agreements.
  • Lean Manufacturing Knowledge: Understanding of lean principles and the ability to apply them to improve processes and reduce costs.
  • Cost Optimization: Skills in identifying opportunities for cost savings while maintaining quality and delivery performance.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple supplier relationships and projects simultaneously.
  • ProblemSolving Skills: Ability to identify problems in the supply chain and implement effective solutions.
