Job Description
We are looking for a Production Engineer to improve manufacturing processes and ensure the efficient production of highquality components. The role focuses on process optimization safety and supporting engineering teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and optimize production processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Develop safety protocols and ensure adherence to health and safety standards.
- Identify and implement process improvement initiatives to reduce costs and cycle times.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to address defects and maintain high standards.
- Prepare production reports and analyze performance data.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.
- 3 years of experience in production engineering preferably in manufacturing or rail industries.
- Proficiency in lean manufacturing and process improvement tools.
- Strong analytical problemsolving and communication skills.
- Familiarity with health safety and environmental regulations.
Additional Information :
Technical Skills:
- Process Optimization: Ability to identify inefficiencies in production processes and implement solutions to improve them.
- Lean Manufacturing: Expertise in lean principles and tools (e.g. Kaizen 5S Six Sigma) to drive continuous improvement.
- Quality Control and Assurance: Knowledge of quality assurance techniques to maintain product standards and minimize defects.
- Production Planning: Understanding of production schedules resource allocation and capacity planning to meet deadlines.
- CAD Software: Familiarity with computeraided design (CAD) tools for designing or improving production systems.
- Safety Protocols: Knowledge of health safety and environmental regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Analytical Skills:
- Data Analysis: Ability to analyze production data to identify trends issues and areas for improvement.
- Root Cause Analysis: Proficient in techniques such as fishbone diagrams or failure mode effects analysis (FMEA) to troubleshoot issues.
- ProblemSolving: Strong ability to find practical solutions for complex production challenges.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with crossfunctional teams including engineers quality assurance and production staff.
- Reporting Skills: Proficiency in preparing and presenting production reports highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and suggesting improvements.
- Training and Mentoring: Ability to guide and train staff on new processes equipment and safety measures.
Project Management:
- Time Management: Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
- Cost Management: Understanding of cost reduction strategies and the ability to implement them within a production environment.
