Job Description
Job Title: Supply Management Specialist I
Client: Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company
Duration: 1 year
Location: Ankeny IA 50023
Shift: 1st Shift (Hybrid: 4 days in office/1 day remote)
Description:
Provides entrylevel sourcing Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP) and Enterprise Order Fulfillment Process (EOFP) support. Responsibilities include:
- Developing and enforcing strategies and contracts for lowvalue/lowcomplexity commodities.
- Assisting with cost models make vs. buy studies spend analysis invoice issue resolution and data analysis.
- Collaborating with Strategic Sourcing to address supplier performance issues or validate suppliers during early supplier selection in EPDP.
- Utilizing the Achieving Excellence process for supplier performance management.
Duties:
- Executes Order Fulfillment Process (OFP) with cost reduction activities.
- Analyzes quotations and selects suppliers based on quality cost capability lead time and stability.
- Supports resourcing activities and make vs. buy decisions.
- Collects cost data and prepares supplier cost/industry analyses.
- Assists Engineering Change Management (ECM) to implement timely and costeffective design changes.
- Develops and executes inventory plans to meet material flow goals.
- Resolves shipping receiving invoicing and payment issues.
- Drives continuous improvement and ensures supplier performance using Achieving Excellence criteria.
- Resolves supplier performance issues and manages daytoday supplier relationships.
- Expedites parts as necessary.

- 1st shift position exact hours to be discussed with the manager.
Job Duties:
- Manage purchased parts delivery for internal and external suppliers.
Required:
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficiency in typing Microsoft Office and Excel.
- 4year degree in Business or Supply Management OR relevant work experience.
- Open to recent graduates.
Preferred:
- SAP experience.
- Experience with inventory/parts in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with suppliers.
