- Estimate Pay: $35.00 to $37.50
Working Hours:
Work is typically scheduled from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday with the option to work remotely up to 100% of the time. The working position is Telework. While the schedule may need to be flexible it will not exceed 40 hours per week or 1040 hours total. The contractor may be occasionally called upon for afterhours as needed.
Summary:
A Developer/Programmer Analyst 3 at the Texas Education Agency (TEA) in Austin is responsible for designing and implementing new web applications using Microsoft technologies. They participate in the full software development life cycle (SDLC) within a SCRUM/Agile environment. Key responsibilities include developing complex SQL scripts automating data acquisition from various sources and ensuring the integration load and stress testing of applications. This role also involves supporting and enhancing existing systems to meet user and organizational needs.
Mandatory Qualifications
- At least 10 years Software Development Life Cycle
- At least 10 years Microsoft Technologies (.NET C# Visual Studio)
- At least 10 years Design Principles
- At least 10 years Technical Documentation
- At least 8 years Web Application development using .NET technologies
- At least 8 years SCRUM/Agile methodologies
- At least 6 years ObjectRelational Mapping using Entity Framework
- At least 6 years Database implementation and data model design
- At least 5 years Bitbucket or Git version control
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 3 years Familiarity with ProjectSpecific Tools such as JIRA TEMPO Bitbucket Confluence etc
Duties/Responsibilities
- 10 years of experience in SDLC support with a focus on:
- Design Web Applications with Microsoft technologies.
- SCRUM/Agile methodologies.
- DevOps practices particularly in maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automation.
- Design Patterns and Principles
- SQL Server database including stored procedures and query performance tuning.
- Strong knowledge of version control systems using Bitbucket or Git.
- Design and implement new web applications using Microsoft technologies.
- Participate in the full software development life cycle (SDLC) in a SCRUM/Agile environment.
- Understand existing Data Model designs and modify them as required.
- Ensure the scalability and performance of the new web application.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to troubleshoot identify and resolve issues within the new system.
- Work closely with the DevOps team to maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation processes.
- Provide proof of concept solutions for implementation and design of critical components.
