Job Description
Our client requires the services of a Data Engineer (Advanced) Midrand/Menlyn/Rosslyn/Home Office rotation

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
- Data Science degree such as Statistics Computer Science or Engineering.
- Strong background in software development mathematics and good analytical and problemsolving skills.
- 58 years of experience in the field of Data Science.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Strong background in mathematics and good analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Any additional responsibilities assigned in the Agile Working Model (AWM) Charter
- Languages: Python Terraform
- Scripting Languages: SQL
- Machine Learning: Python OpenAI LLMs Prompt Engineering LLM Agents Retrieval Augmented Generation
- Cloud: AWS EC2 S3 EMR Azure
- Operating System: Windows Linux and Unix
- BI/DWH/ETL Tools: BI tools such as AWS Quicksight or Grafana
- IDEs: VSCode Pycharm Jupiter Notebooks Microsoft Visual Studio
- Version Control : Git
- Tools: ATC Confluence JIRA GitHub GitHub CoPilot GitHub Actions

ROLE:
- Develop data science solutions and integrate and scale these solutions into MLOps pipelines
- Implements analytical algorithms for object detection segmentation classification and recognition
- Provide support on Low code no code solutions for business teams
- Evaluate LLM output and compare LLM configurations.
- Provides complete application lifecycle development deployment and operations support for Big Data solutions and infrastructure
- Managing the expectations of business product owners and ensuring that healthy synergy exists between the business and feature team.
- The planning of epics and sprints and ensuring that business needs are accurately translated into technical tasks for a feature team to execute.
- Is responsible for discovering insights and identifying business opportunities using algorithmic statistical and mining techniques
- Interprets the results of statistical and predictive experiments and regression analysis and integrates this into complex business processes
- Analyses the data and build reports by using data visualisation tools such as Qlik and AWS Quicksight
