Job Description
Responsibilities: and nbsp;
Applied to both the process and the outcome of thinking out and specifying the overall structure logical components and the logical interrelationships of a computer its operating system a network or other conception. and nbsp;
Defines the structure and relationship among applications including the identification of reusable components quality level metrics the organization and layering of software and the determination of interfaces. and nbsp;
Responsibilities also include developing implementing and managing at least one crossplatform application in a large and distributed environment monitor the whole system understand all interactions between components on a given level of abstraction as well as to define limitations and requirements for source code. and nbsp;
Defines the interactions between application packages databases and middleware systems. and nbsp;
General Skills: and nbsp;
Experience in the development and implementation of application architectures at the specified experience level Extensive experience with at least two different computing platforms operating systems environments database technologies programming languages and communication protocols and nbsp;
Experience with middleware and gateways and nbsp;
Knowledge of performance considerations in different environments and nbsp;
Experience in structured methodologies for the design development and implementation of applications Extensive experience in systems analysis and design in large systems environments and nbsp;
Experience in the use of development tools Computer Aided Software Engineering ( C A S E ) tools information retrieval packages and other software tools such as project management software and business reengineering software and nbsp;
Experience in the use of data and process modelling methodologies techniques and tools including a working knowledge of metadata structures repository functions and data dictionaries and nbsp;
Experience in developing enterprise architecture deliverables (e.g. models) and nbsp;
Awareness of emerging I and amp;IT trends and directions Excellent analytical problemsolving and decisionmaking skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills and nbsp;
A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines and nbsp;

Knowledge and understanding of objectoriented analysis and design techniques and nbsp;
Experience in developing enterprise architecture deliverables (e.g. models) based on Ontario Government Enterprise Architecture methodologies processes and practice and nbsp;
Knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles concepts policies and practices and nbsp;
Experience designing detailed functional and technical requirements for new and existing business solutions and nbsp;
Experience developing enterprise architecture deliverables (e.g. models and documentation) and nbsp;
Experience leading multitier application infrastructure design documentation and configuration for medium or large corporate implementations and nbsp;
Experience designing developing implementing and maintaining large complex applications workflow processes and dynamic forms

Technical Skills (30%)
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- Experience designing enterprise level cloud native architectures
- Experience with Zachman artefacts
- Experience with Architecture governance
- Experience designing microservices
- Experience leading he architecture design from conception through to implementation
- Experience designing cloud native systems using containerized microservices in a kubernetes environment
- Experience designing customcode projects
- Experience designing cloud systems using IaaS PaaS and SaaS components
- Working knowledge of interoperability integration and capability with cloud technologies
- Working knowledge of both low code development and custom development on Azure
- Expert and nbsp;knowledge developing APIs especially RESTful web services
- Working knowledge and nbsp;with data design and development
- Working knowledge of development in Azure technologies
- Working knowledge of multiple back end and front end technologies including java .net JAM stack etc.
- Expert and nbsp;knowledge and nbsp;of and nbsp;Cloud and nbsp;Security and nbsp;Principles and technology and nbsp;such and nbsp;as and nbsp;Azure and nbsp;AD and nbsp;B2C and nbsp;Authentication and nbsp;Okta and nbsp;Authentication
- Experience developing solution architecture documentation according to industry standards
- Working knowledge of DevOps task boards pipelines etc.
Experience (30%)
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure
- Experience building custom APIs and web services
- Proficiency in all cloud service models: SaaS PaaS and IaaS
- Certification in Azure are preferred
- Experience with Agile methodologies including using kanban/task boards and nbsp;
- Experience and nbsp;with and nbsp;RESTful and nbsp;APIs.
- Experience and nbsp;building and nbsp;custom and nbsp;code and nbsp;backend systems
- Expert and nbsp;knowledge and nbsp;of and nbsp;Cloud and nbsp;Security and nbsp;Principles such and nbsp;as and nbsp;Azure and nbsp;AD and nbsp;B2C and nbsp;Authentication and nbsp;Okta and nbsp;Authentication
Communication Skills (10%)
- Strong communication skills to prepare documentation including but not limited to: solution documentation reports reviews assessments and nbsp;
- Ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively and in a userfriendly manner; maintain a high level of customer service to both internal and external clients
- Ability to communicate designs and development in clear and understandable manner
