We are currently looking for a Licensed Senior Architect to join our Buildings Group (C2 Architecture Inc) in the Mississauga office operating within a hybrid model. This leadership role offers an exciting opportunity to advance your career while working collaboratively within a dynamic team. You will have the chance to lead and manage a wide range of projects across multiple sectors including transit commercial education healthcare and federal markets.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor the project team in preparing conceptual designs presentations design development and construction documents across various projects
- Oversee and integrate multidisciplinary inputs into the design process working with specialists in areas such as traffic engineering transportation safety storm water management geotechnical engineering and environmental/ecology
- Assume the role of Project Manager controlling and managing resources budgets and schedules for multiple projects
- Serve as the primary point of contact and liaison for clients ensuring effective communication and satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle
- Assist in managing and guiding the architectural staff fostering a collaborative and highperformance work environment
- Prepare presentation materials and renderings for client meetings public consultations and design review processes
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies and prepare materials for permit application packages to secure necessary approvals
- Provide contract administration and/or construction inspection services as required
- Support continuous professional development by participating in internal and external learning opportunities
- Represent the architectural team at project meetings sharing insights and leadership across all stages of design and implementation
- Contribute to the creation of written materials including proposals design briefs meeting reports and other documentation associated with the architectural design process
- Lead design development and review processes ensuring quality and alignment with client goals and project standards
- Mentor junior staff fostering growth and development within the team
- Conduct QA/QC of drawings and specifications ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements and standards
Qualifications :
- Graduate in Architecture (B. Arch or M. Arch) or equivalent combination of education
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in architecture with a proven track record of leading successful projects
- Licensed Architect Registered in good standing with the OAA
- Proven ability to oversee QA/QC of design deliverables and ensure project standards are met
- Strong Contract Administration experience overseeing the contracts between parties in a construction project
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Selfmotivated and able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative teamoriented environment focused on quality and client satisfaction
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint Teams)
- Valid Ontario drivers license with a clean driving record and access to a reliable personal vehicle
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- LEED or Passive House accreditation is an asset
