Description: Is responsible for achieving departmental/area goals and objectives. Supervises production maintenance and/or warehouse employees in operations or processes requiring semiskilled to unskilled employees to ensure that the goals of the department and organization are achieved. The supervisor is the firstline liaison between the production employees and the management staff and thus also serves the function of representing the companys interests with the shop floor staff.
Duties:
- Supervises and leads the development and execution of departmental plans to achieve objectives in safety quality schedule efficiency and continuous improvement.
- Investigates analyzes and resolves various system part people or process issues to correct deficiencies reduce costs improve processes/performance.
- Administers employee policies practices procedures and work rules appropriate for the unit.
- Monitors individual and line performance and takes corrective action including discipline as needed and responds to complaints to ensure the Company and employees adhere to policies practices procedures and work rules.
- Works with Safety Team in meeting company standards and enforces safety regulations to prevent and eliminate injuries.
- Plans for maintenance of equipment and facilities to maximize the uptime and utilization of capital equipment assets.
- Manages and controls costs to stay within the department operating budget targets.
- Establishes employee environment regarding communications feedback and overall guidance.
- Ensures that assigned personnel have appropriate training work instruction and tools to successfully do their job.
- Directs departmental continuous improvement plans and activities.
Specific Position Requirements: - Primarily 1st shift but must be available to work OT periodically. It is also helpful if candidate can flex to other shifts occasionally to fill in.
- Manufacturing experience in a union environment.
- Systems experience SAP.
- Familiar with desktop applications MS Word Office Excel.
- Good communication skills.
- Position is onsite from day 1.

Supervises semi to highly skilled production and/or maintenance employees on an assigned shift to ensure the manufacture of products within established delivery quality safety and cost standards. The supervisor is the firstline liaison between the production employees and the management staff and thus also serves the function of representing the companys interests with the shop floor staff.
Duties: - Establishes employee environment regarding communications feedback and overall guidance.
- Ensures that assigned personnel have appropriate training work instruction and tools to successfully do their job.
- Monitors Control Plans troubleshoots workmanship problems and generally supervises production activities to ensure that manufactured products meet or exceed all established quality requirements.
- Administers employee policies practices procedures and work rules appropriate for the unit.
- Monitors individual and line performance and takes corrective action including discipline as needed and responds to complaints to ensure the Company and employees adhere to policies practices procedures and work rules.
- Determines manufacturing and/or distribution priorities based on the production schedule and makes daily assignments including filling vacancies and assigning overtime in order to adhere to the Customer Delivery date.
- Plans for maintenance of equipment and facilities to maximize the uptime and utilization of capital equipment assets.
- Monitors and makes corrections to stay within the department operating budget targets.
- Directs departmental continuous improvement plans and activities.
- Implements and monitors safety programs and housekeeping.
Education Preferred: - College Degree or Equivalent Experience
Years of Experience Required: - 5 years of professional experience
Must Haves: - Excellent communicator
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
