Job Title: Data Engineer
About role
Data Engineer shall be responsible for developing deploying and sustaining data engineering
capabilities in IT Data Platform Team
Key responsibilities
Technology
Development of Data Ingestion pipelines using Informatica/Azure Data Factory ETL BigData
Technologies and Apache Data Management tools
Development of Database and Unix scripts
Manual and Automated Testing
Deployment of Code in Test Quality and Production environments
Follows the technical governance (standards best practices etc.)
Business
Engage with the business segments and internal stakeholders to data platform and delivery
requirements
Work closely with analysts architects and SMEs
Work closely with internal stakeholders associated with IT.
Qualifications and Requirements
Essential qualifications
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or related field
4 years of experience in development and maintenance projects
4 Years of experience in Big Data and/or Cloud Technologies/Data Management projects
Excellent communication verbal and written skills
Key competencies in Data Engineering Technologies
Strong experience using ETL tools preferred Informatica / Azure Data Factory Bigdata
toolsets
Experience in developing production grade applications using Java Python and Unix Scripts
Experience in developing or data integration using APIs
Exposure working with GCP BigQuery Elasticsearch databases / NoSQL databases
Experience in cloud technologies like Google Cloud / Azure
Experience with testing code review & multisite deployments
Knowledge of BigData technologies
Experience with Agile development methodologies JIRA SCRUM TFSGIT etc. will be an
added advantage
