About the Job
Our client is Our client is one of Nigerias leading private construction groups with a rich history of delivering highquality construction projects across the country. They are looking for a skilled and detailoriented Site Engineer to manage onsite construction activities for building projects. The successful candidates will oversee structural works architectural finishes and coordination with MEP (Mechanical Electrical Plumbing) teams while ensuring compliance with project requirements quality standards and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Construction Oversight: Supervise and manage all onsite construction activities ensuring alignment with project plans and timelines.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure work complies with design specifications quality standards and safety regulations.
- Coordination: Collaborate with MEP teams subcontractors and other stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of activities.
- ProblemSolving: Address onsite challenges promptly providing effective resolutions to maintain progress.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed site records including daily reports material logs and work progress documentation.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce adherence to health and safety protocols onsite to safeguard workers and resources.
- Reporting: Regularly report progress and any deviations to the Project Manager or Construction Manager.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory).
- 2 to 5 years of experience as a Civil Engineer preferably in building projects.
- Relevant training certificates in construction or project management are a plus.
Skills & Competencies:
- Proficiency in construction management tools and software.
- Strong technical knowledge of structural and architectural works.
- Effective communication and coordination skills.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to highquality standards.
- Ability to resolve site issues efficiently under time constraints.
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
