Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and handson Accounting Manager to lead our financial operations and ensure accurate timely financial reporting. This role requires a proactive professional with strong manufacturing accounting expertise experience in monthend closings and the ability to manage the yearend audit process effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preparation and review of monthly financial statements ensuring accuracy and adherence to GAAP.
  • Lead the monthend close process including journal entries account reconciliations and variance analysis.
  • Manage and coordinate the yearend audit process with external auditors preparing necessary documentation and resolving queries.
  • Develop implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends discrepancies and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with operations and production teams to provide financial insights and support cost accounting activities.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to management offering actionable recommendations to optimize financial performance.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff fostering a culture of accuracy efficiency and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 57 years of progressive accounting experience with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
  • Expertise in monthend and yearend close processes including audit preparation and execution.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; strong Excel skills required.
  • Indepth understanding of manufacturing accounting principles including cost accounting and inventory management.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong problemsolving and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to work in a handson capacity and manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment.
  • Strong leadership communication and interpersonal skills.
